Elixir of Avarice
Aim
Create a contemporary cocktail pairing of pineapple and basil with a smooth easy to drink fruitiness.

ShakerHawthorne Strainer
Fine Mesh Strainer
Jam Jar
Materials
- 50ml Pineapple Elixir
- 50ml Fresh Pineapple juice
- 5ml Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- 5ml Simple Syrup
- 4 Fresh chunks of Pineapple
- 2 Fresh Basil leaves
- 1 Sprig of fresh Basil to garnish
- 1.7 Oz Pineapple Elixir
- 1.7 OzΒ Fresh Pineapple juice
- 0.2 OzΒ Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- 0.2 OzΒ Simple Syrup
- 4 Fresh chunks of Pineapple
- 2 Fresh Basil leaves
- 1 Sprig of fresh Basil to garnish
Method
- Add plenty of ice to a shaker.
- Add all of the ingredients to the shaker and shake vigorously.
- Double strain into the Jam Jar.
- Garnish with the sprig of Basil and serve.
Results
A fruity cocktail with the delicious herbaceous notes of the basil and the sharpness of the lime for a fantastic refreshing drink.
